Bee Langston is a young entrepreneur with a stalker on her hands, that is getting bolder and bolder. His latest actions have left Bee frightened, he has been leaving pictures of his nude male private part, on her windshield and in her backpack. She lost her mother to cancer a few years ago, and her brother who was a Marine not long after that, the only person she had that she could turn to was Kelly Conolly, but when she tried to call him, her calls went to voicemail, and he didn't answer her texts. This evening when she got home, she found a gift wrapped box on her coffee table, that made her panic and run out of her apartment, without opening the box, to where she knew that Kelly was working as a bouncer.
Kelly Conolly a former Marine, and best friends with jeb Langston, had promised Jeb he would look after his baby sister if anything should happen to him. What Jeb didn't know was Kelly had feelings for her that went beyond sisterly feelings. He now works for Lone Star Security a security private security firm, that he knew went against friends dating their sisters. He works for as a bouncer when he is between jobs, and now he is at the club when Bee bursts through the doors. By the look on her face, he knows there is something wrong, and when she explains to him what is going on he feels awful for not returning her calls or texts, he thought she was calling about the failed New Year's Eve kiss she tried to give him, and he rejected. This wasn't going to be easy to keep his feelings for Bee in check, and try to keep her safe at the same time, but he had to do it for Jeb.

The Fighting Connolly series is a spin-off series of the Her Russian Protector series. We are introduced to Kelly in that series. When I started 'In Kelly's Corner' I already knew how his fight would turn out, since I read this a bit out order, but that was fine. I was happy to go back in time and finally catch up with the Connolly brothers. Kelly's story was great. Getting to see him in his element, seeing the dynamic between the brothers, seeing the history with their father, getting the history with his best friend - all of it great. And of course, following the full story, the love story, between Kelly and Bee was worth it.

Kelly and Bee were not perfect (and straight up stupid at one point). Kelly was caught up in his family's misery and circumstances. Bee was highly intelligent yet also a bit naìve, so the two of them missed some clues, with each other and their surroundings. But what I loved about Bee and Kelly was how sweet and loving they were when they finally admitted their true feelings. They have a great best-friend's-little-sister love story, but what I especially liked was how it wasn't dragged out. When Kelly sees Bee in trouble, there's not denying where his heart is. I also liked that Bee was the rich one in this instance, not the guy. It was a nice change from the usual wealthy guy scenario. Bee and Kelly had different gifts, and different ways to help each other, regardless of money, and I loved getting to know them. These two were a very special couple.

I also loved seeing some of my old Russian mafia friends. Well, at least they feel like friends to me. Whether small cameos, or more meaningful roles to play, I loved the mixing up of these worlds. Yuri was especially great in this one. Also, while I figured some stuff out, I still liked the little twists thrown in here and there, helping to keep what could be a pretty straightforward story, and making it very entertaining. I'm really looking forward to the other Connolly brother stories.
Ok so I'll admit I started reading this in hopes with a name like Connolly this would be a book about an Irish family. I would be wrong! So being that I like romantic suspense, I thought why not. Well again I thought wrong.
This book had potential to be a good story but fell short, why because it was too busy. Here's the run down...Three Connolly brothers all ex military, Albanian mobsters, stalkers, a dad whose an abusive drunk and gambler,Russian mob bosses as friends, computer genius as heroine, underground fights, blackmail and while I'm at it throw in a huge secret about our h Bee's dead brother. Are you seeing a pattern here? Too many side characters and subplots, yes yes there were!!!
Now after that rant let's discuss the part that categorizes this as a suspense, the stalker. You mean the stalker whose identity should have been hard to figure out and whose identity should have kept you guessing throughout this book but DIDN'T! Yea the author was so busy putting so many main characters and their friends / acquaintances in the front that she neglected to build characters that the reader's might think was the stalker instead of only ONE person! Oh yea you'll know from the first time you read a chapter with him in it (and its in the very beginning) that he's the stalker. So not much suspense there. As far as the Romance goes blah, mild and boring.
I won't go into to much detail because I don't write review with spoilers, but at one point our H Kelly does something to Bee that causes others to follow basically lacking trust, loyalty and protection and by doing so breaking the promise he made to her dead brother, his best friend about always protecting her. Don't worry folks she immediately forgives and all is right with the world. That right there sealed the fate of this book for me.
