Jenner is a wildlife guide and a grouch...a grouchy bear that is. Lena has come to Alaska to shoot photos of the brown bear and she's heard Jenner's the best guide. Right off the bat, they both have an instant attraction to each other but they also realize it's so much more. During their trip in the wild, it becomes impossible to keep their hands off each other. Jenner realizes that despite his feelings for Lena, he has to hyberrnate for half of a year and he wants better for her. Now it's up to Lena to show him that a life together is more than enough. This is a standalone book BUT there is reference to the first book and it helps to know the background. Can't wait for Tobais' book!
"Bear Fur Hire" by T.S. Joyce is the second novel in the "Bears Fur Hire" Series. Lena Rhodes is a professional photographer who has been given the opportunity to take photographs of Alaskan grizzle's for the outdoors and backwoods magazine she works for in the lower forty-eight. She is the type of person who sees beauty in the less obvious and has the eye to catch the perfect shot. So, she doesn't mind traveling the globe looking for the best photographs. As long as she's on the move, she can't get hurt. But when she meets outdoor guide, Jenner Silver, she's drawn to him in more ways than one. As a grizzle shifter, Jenner guards his secrets and his heart. But when Lena enters his life, he knows he should stay away from her, but can't help but feel a connection. Overall, this was another great novel. Like all of the "Bear Fur Hire" books, it's mostly a romance story with one or two side plot points that need to be addressed before the HEA.
Second book of the series and another winner from Ms. Joyce. I love this series and I love the fact that these grizzly are compelled to hibernate 6 months out of the year. I ask you how can a human even think they want a mate that is absent half a year? Well, Ms. Joyce has made that not only a possibility but a believable possibility and they woman who want them are extraordinary in every way. This one is no exception.
Jenner Silver is a serious wild life guide with an affinity for the bears. Maybe because he is a grizzly shifter or maybe he is just a great guide. But either way that is exactly what Lena Rhodes needs. A guide who can take into the heart of Grizzly territory and get her out again in one piece. She has come to Alaska to photograph them for her Wild Life Magazine. She is a reknown photographer with a reputation for getting the money shots and she absolutely has to have the best.
Problem is she is human and does not know that shifters exist. She also does not know that she is the fated mate of one Jenner Siliver. Neither did he until he laid eyes on her and the connection slapped into place. Now what does he do? He has sworn to never mate and not have any cubs to carry on this abomination. Read this one and enjoy every minute of it.
Bear Fur Hire is book two in the series and is Jenner and Lena’s story. Ian, Jenner and Tobias Silver are triplet grizzly bear shifters and main characters in this series.
Jenner is a broody and sexy tour guide at a lodge called Silver Summit Outfitters in Alaska. Lena is a photographer with an elite outdoor magazine sent to take pictures of grizzlies. Jenner is her guide and those two have sparks flying before they even leave the lodge.
I adored Jenner and swooned over his sweet and protective side he only showed Lena. She is also a great character. Lena’s strong and stubborn and accepted Jenner and Bear immediately. I loved how she was determined to make their relationship work and find a way no matter what.
The ending leaves us anticipating Tobias’ book and I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.
